Each mitochondrial sample contained 30 µg/µl of protein. (B) Carbonic anhydrase II protein levels increase in aged retina mitochondria. The protein levels of carbonic anhydrase II were measured in the murine retina mitochondria aged 4-11 weeks and 78 weeks. Carbonic anhydrase II significantly increases in retina mitochondria from older mice, p=0.028 (two-tailed unpaired t-test with Welch’s correction).
