(A, C) The immunoreactivity of Tf and TfR was determined by immunohistochemistry with an anti-Tf and anti-TfR antibody, respectively. These images are representative of 6 independent mouse experiments, all of which produced similar results. (B, D) The protein expression of Tf and TfR was determined by western blot analysis. β-actin served as the internal control. Tf and TfR mRNA levels were determined by qRT-PCR, with the total amount of GAPDH serving as the internal control.
