miR-137 prevents inflammatory response, oxidative stress, neuronal injury and cognitive impairment via blockade of Src-mediated MAPK signaling pathway in ischemic stroke

class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 12. miR-137 inhibits Src thus inactivating the MAPK signaling pathway in astrocytes. (A) miR-137 expression and mRNA levels of Src, Erk2, Jnk, p38, Gfap, Bax and Bcl-2 in astrocytes detected using RT-qPCR; (B) protein levels of Src, GFAP, Bax and Bcl-2 along with the extent of ERK1/2, JNK and p38 phosphorylation in astrocytes detected using Western blot analysis. Measurement data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation and compared using one-way ANOVA, followed by Tukey's post hoc test. * p < 0.05 vs. normal astrocytes; # p < 0.05 vs. OGD-induced astrocytes treated with negative controls; & p < 0.05 vs. astrocytes treated with miR-137 inhibitor. The experiment was repeated 3 times independently.
